Amid mounting protests, Iran's Guardian Council says it's ready to order a partial recount

In Iran, the defeated presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi is urging his supporters not to attend a rally planned for this afternoon, saying he wanted to protect their lives. Seven people were killed Monday during mass protests against the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Meanwhile the Guardian Council says it is ready to recount some ballot boxes but only in voting places where candidates claim irregularities occurred. Meanwhile, leading reformists were reportedly arrested early today.
