DW-WORLD.DE: Who will be coming to the World Cup from the Czech Republic?
Tomas Carnogursky: Not just the die hard soccer fans. A lot of families and older people will be coming as well. The supporters of the Czech national team are different than the normal division stadium fans. It is a lot quieter in the stands when the national team plays.
How many Czech fans should Germany expect?
We don’t have as far to travel as the Brazilians, for example. I think that a few thousand Czechs will pack up the car and drive to Germany, even without a ticket. Even though our group games are in Cologne, Gelsenkirchen and Hamburg -- it is still quite a distance to drive. And not every Czech can afford a trip to a foreign country.
How far do you think your team will make it?
The expectations are high. This is the first time we have participated in the World Cup since our separation from Slovakia. Since we have made it into the tournament, we at least want to reach the semi-finals.

The Czech Republic’s best team: Liberecky KFS.
