European officials are at odds about the timing of the bank stress tests due out tomorrow. The original plan calls for officials to release the results of the tests in the evening after European markets have closed. That plan would allow New York investors to analyse and react to the stress tests before the Europeans themselves. The French government wants the results released earlier and hopes to win the support of other EU ministers in a conference call tonight.
