Finance ministers of the world's seven leading economies have announced a plan to stabilise the world economy. The move followed another day of massive falls on international financial markets as well as renewed fears of a global recession. G7 ministers have pledged to take``all necessary steps'' to unfreeze credit markets. US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson has also announced a plan to buy direct stakes in American banks, expanding a bail-out package passed last week.
