German parliamentarians from the Gaza aid flotilla deny Israeli commandos were acting in self-defence

Israel is facing a storm of international criticism after its raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla on Monday. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said he was shocked by Israel's naval assault which left 9 activists dead and called for the blockade of Gaza to be lifted. Both the UN Security Council and NATO are calling for a prompt and impartial investigation into the raid AND the release of all detainees.
