Germany to withdraw troops from Mali

November 23, 2022

Growing tensions between Berlin and Bamako, due to Mali's close ties to Russia, have prompted Germany to withdraw troops from the UN peacekeeping mission there by 2024. The moves comes on the heels of the same decision by France and the UK.
