Hamburg Jehovah's Witnesses hall shooting

On March 9, a shooter killed six people and an unborn child at a Jehovah's Witness hall in the northern German city. The perpetrator was a former member of the religious community.

German politicians have questioned why the gunman's weapon wasn't confiscated after concerns were raised about his psychological health. The police have said the motive for the crime remains unknown.
