This is the sixth top-seller for Rowling in Germany. It is the eighth story in the "Harry Potter" series and depicts the character as an older, tired employee of the Ministry of Magic. Harry must also now contend with being the father of three children in school, particularly grappling with the struggles of his youngest, Albus, and the family legacy.

The play itself has been running in London since the end of July.

Another British author a top-seller

Another British author to top the German charts is Jojo Moyes, with her works "Über uns der Himmel, unter uns das Meer" (English original: "The Ship of Brides" ), which took second place, and "Ein ganzes halbes Jahr" ("Me Before You"  in English), that garnered fourth place.
