KINO # Tarantino’s War Epic – Inglourious Basterds # 01.08.2009

For his latest film, Quentin Tarantino has taken on the war movie genre. Hollywood star Brad Pitt stars as the leader of a group of soldiers hunting Nazis in occupied France in 1942. INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS was shot almost completely in Berlin and Brandenburg and at the Babelsberg film studios. And nearly 40 German actors play parts in it, including Christoph Waltz, who was honored with a best actor award at the Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of an SS officer.
