Reus is ready to be a 'monster' for BVB

Borussia Dortmund have the chance to extend their lead on third-placed Hertha Berlin on Saturday to 13 points, and BVB head coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Marco Reus is fit to play a part.

"Things with Reus are looking good," said Tuchel on Friday. "He can play on Saturday, which helps us. We believe that Marco can be the monster we know he is capable of being."

For the first time this season, the Olympiastadion in Berlin will be sold out, with an impressive 9,000 BVB fans expected.

"Hertha Berlin will be a tough nut to crack. They won't defend with five at the back again, they have gained confidence," said Tuchel of Pal Dardai's team.

When asked about taking the pressure off the young players in the squad, Tuchel said everyone was capable of contributing.

"Nuri Sahin will be huge for us when he returns [from injury], with [Felix] Passlack it's a matter of time. The other 19 [in the squad] can all play. Julian Weigl is a good example," said the BVB boss.

Dortmund face a big week ahead. After a trip to the capital, BVB travel to Stuttgart for a German Cup quarterfinal match. After a home game against Hannover the following Saturday, Dortmund host Porto as European football returns.

"Looking at the week ahead, it's pivotal that we do all we can to stay fit," said Tuchel.

Patience appears to be the key for Tuchel. When asked about Bayern and the title race, the manager replied: "Of course we take it seriously, but it doesn't change the situation. Angelique Kerber first thought about Serena after she won her semifinal."

Dortmund are hoping to take things step by step, and regardless of a possible upset in Leverkusen, a win for them in Berlin would go a long way to securing a fantastic first Bundesliga season at the club for Tuchel.
