Obama: US President Barack Obama has spoken out on abortion rights calling on both opponents and supporters to seek common ground

Meanwhile back home, US President Barack Obama has spoken out on one of the country's most divisive political issues -- abortion rights. In a graduation speech at Notre Dame University, he called on both opponents and supporters to seek common ground. Some critics had called for Obama's invitation to speak at the Roman Catholic university to be cancelled.. but the university refused. The president's appearance there did provoke some protests.
