A three-day papal visit to Lebanon ended on Sunday. Hundreds of thousands of people thronged Beirut's seafront for a chance to see the pontiff. In his sermon during an open-air mass on Sunday, Benedict called for committment to peaceful co-existance in the region, appealing to both Muslims and Christians to use the example of Lebanon.
