What's new

Ever since World War II, the Augustiner Brewery's tent has lacked the tower that once served as its emblem. For this year's festival, the 25-meter tower has been rebuilt. The Paulaner Brewery's tent, called the Winzerer Faehndl, has been newly built this year as well. In addition to its glass facade, the building also features an underground ring pipe system to supply the beer.

After a two-year absence, the food stand called the Metzgerstub'n will be on the lawn again. Bavarian sausage and rare regional specialties will be on the menu. A new snack stand known as Zum Spanferkel will make its debut this year. The name, meaning suckling pig, suggests what guests can expect to find there.

Sales booths and carnival attractions

Booths open daily at 10:00 a.m., on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

Attractions are open daily starting at 10:00 a.m. and on opening day at 12:00 p.m.

Closing time: 11:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays at midnight.

Service ends 30 minutes before closing time.

New rides

A gigantic ride called the Flip Fly twirls passengers through the air at a height of 55 meters. With speeds up to 60 kilometers per hour and gondolas that also spin on their own axes, it's not for the faint of heart.

A funhouse known previously as the Dream Factory has been rebuilt into Alpine Madness. Guests that dare to enter will have to conquer laser tunnels, slides and trick fountains to make it through this alpine landscape.

Exotic spiders, flesh-eating piranhas, waterfalls and volcanoes are some of the dangers in the Amazon obstacle course. Adventurers will have to navigate shaky ground and suspended bridges to pass through the attraction's rainforest setting.
