Solar Power from Africa - a European 400- Billion-euro-project in the desert of North Africa

Europe could one day be getting some of its electricity from... Africa. A consortium of 20 German companies -- including RWE, Siemens and Deutsche Bank -- are to meet soon to discuss building a 400- Bbillion euro solar-power project in the desert of North Africa. It's said to be one of the largest privately- funded ventures of its kind.
