The ongoing trade dispute between German Rail operator Deutsche Bahn and the train drivers union GDL has only affected regional passenger services... so far. A court imposed-ban that stopped the GDL from industrial actions affecting long-distance and freight trains is being challenged today. If overturned, strikes on freight services could create chaos in Germany's streamlined industrial supply chain.
