Around the world people have been shaken by events in Brussels. Landmarks around the world were lit up in colours of Belgium’s national flag in solidarity.
Paris in mourning
Only four months after the Paris attacks the French capital'siconic Eiffel Tower in black, yellow and red, colours of the Belgian flag in tribute to the victims of events in Brussels bomb attacks.
Stirring up memories
Candles were placed around a Belgian flag on the Place de la Republique in the French capital city of Paris, which itself is quite familiar with terrorist attacks. In November 2015, a series of coordinated attacks in Paris claimed 130 lives while another 368 people were injured.
