Tuberculosis – on the rise again?

Unlike viral diseases, tuberculosis is caused by a bacterial pathogen. TB is considered to be the deadliest infectious disease worldwide, but in most cases it can be treated successfully with antibiotics - as long as it's diagnosed early enough.
