What do the people on the street think about Köhlers reelection

First, let's take a closer look at the re-elected president. Horst Köhler has become one of Germany's most popular figures during his first period in office. Unlike most other German presidents, the former head of the International Monetary Fund isn't a career politician. And that may explain why he's sought much of his support from normal voters rather than from politicians. During a landmark speech on the global economic crisis a few weeks ago, Köhler attacked the world's financial sector, calling it a monster. That echoed the feelings of millions of Germans. And though some say he's shy and awkward, the German public have grown fond of him.
