We are hiring full-time English/(IBDP/Alevel) Math/Science/Biology/Physics/Chemistry Teachers, and College Counsellor:


Remuneration Package




Before-tax salary: RMB 250,000-50,000 per year
Free apartment+ Free working Meals
Fully-paid Summer&Winter Holidays+ 5-day sick leaves per academic year
Relocation allowance: 10K-15k + airfare subsidy: 12K/academic year
Other benefits and bonus: Negotiable.


Position 1 College Counsellor




Job Descriptions

1.Overview of Purpose

The College Counsellor will work to ensure that: students have access to counsel on academic, personal, career and post-secondary education matters to effectively support their current and future development and achievement; that counseling and advisory programmes are supported by clearly documented policies and procedures; that community members understand the scope of the programmes as well as the manner in which to access services

2.Areas of Responsibility
Under the guidance of the Vice principal, the College Counsellor will work to achieve these objectives by
• Keeping up to date with post secondary options and how students gain access to them
• Informing students, parents and the school’s wider community of such options and processes
• Maintaining contact with receiving institutions, visiting and inviting them to build relationship with international organizaions and admission office in universities.
• Providing impartial, data based options’ counsel to students and their parents
• Maintaining proper records of both the college counseling programme and student interaction with it
• Providing general support for pastoral care and social and emotional development for each student.
• Providing career and life-skill lessons as needed.

Reports to: Vice principal

3.Breakdown of Responsibilities
Communications
The college counsellor will
• Maintain, update and make available a library of post-secondary information in various forms of media
• Organise regular post-secondary information sessions inviting representatives from relevant institutions; arrange for parents and students to meet with college representatives
• Organise relevant staff training, for example on reference writing for students etc
• Provide admissions and application workshops (e.g. essay writing, completing resumes and application forms in general)
• Liaise with the counsellors and other relevant personnel and structures to highlight concerns about the well-being of students
• Communicate information about the examinations such as PSATs, SATs, ACTs, APs, TOEFL, IELTs etc
• Update and distribute the school’s Universities Admissions Handbook and school profile
• Assist the Admissions Office in updating contact information for an alumni organization

4.Programme
The college counsellor will
• Coordinate the administration of PSAT, SAT, ACT, APs and other similar examinations
• Collaborate with other College Counsellors and Dean of Students, subject teachers to develop, maintain and implement a careers/college counseling program for students
• Keep up to date with the post secondary options of our main destination countries, and be able to research other minor systems
• Attend meetings of College / University Counsellors and Admissions personnel
• Establish and maintain strong working relations with university admissions personnel and share contacts with students and colleagues when appropriate

5.Counsel
The college counsellor will provide counsel:
• Through individual interviews, within the context of the pastoral programmes and in general information sessions.  
• That is impartial and in the best interests of the student
• That uses relevant data
• Keeping relevant records
• Ensuring that parents are informed
• Ensuring that students are capable of making the best choices of programme and subject into Grade 11
• Ensuring students are capable of making the best choices among a wide range of post-secondary options
• Develop and maintain a process and workflow for counseling students; make sure this is recorded and that relevant stakeholders can access it

6.Applications
The college counsellor will
• Ensure that supporting documentation for post-secondary admission is processed and forwarded in a timely manner;
• Write letters of recommendation for students in support of the admissions and scholarship applications, and/or assist others in such writing
• Assist each student and his/her parent in gaining awareness and having access to all requirements and procedures for his/her post-secondary choice
• Raise awareness to each student the implications of Grade 11 options changes
• Maintain proper records of applications
• Record, communicate and celebrate successful applications

Experience and Qualifications Required:
1. Candidates of US/UK/AUS/CA/NZ/Ireland/SA/other European countries, aged 25-50
2. Bachelor degree or above (relevant subject, Master degree or above & returning from overseas is preferred)
3. Proficient English, fluent in Oral English, CET 6 or IELTS 6.5 is preferred
4. Having teaching experience in relevant subjects, IB teaching experience is preferred
5. Having high school teaching certificate in relevant subject


Position 2 Mathematics Teacher




JOB Descriptions
1. Teaching International Maths subjects, including IB Maths etc., teaching in English or bilingual;
2. Mentoring students to participant in subject-related competitions according to their specialties, providing guidance and support to students and supervising their learning progress;
3. Keeping good communication with students and parents, provide the feedback of students' learning progress and outcome;
4. Respecting students and school international working culture, providing reference letters to students for their university applications if possible.

Experience and Qualifications Required:
1. Candidates of US/UK/AUS/CA/NZ/Ireland/SA/other European countries, aged 25-50
2.Bachelor degree or above (relevant subject, Master degree or above)
3. Proficient English, fluent in Oral English, CET 6 or IELTS 6.5 is preferred
4. Having teaching experience in relevant subjects, IB teaching experience is preferred
5. Having high school teaching certificate in relevant subject


Position 3 English Teachers
